It's a Horrible Night

Pray, pray, pray for comfort for Brianna. The time is near, very near.

I guess from this posting you can tell the doctor appt. didn't go very well. Her heart has deteriorated rapidly. He said she has less than 14 days to live, that's two weeks, less than 336 hours, less than 20,160 minutes.....and that was earlier today. Earlier this evening her heart started racing up and down again, meds didn't help, we had to call the hospice nurse, she is here now. It's not good. We are so very sad.

  1. Praying for peace, comfort, God's presence to anoint your home. Praying that Brianna's soul will be alighted with joy as she begins to step into her eternal home. Praying that there will be beauty in this most horrendous of time for you - beauty that will testify to God's faithfulness and redemption.

  3. I have been reading your blog for about 2 weeks, and as I clicked on the blog I was praying for some good news. I am so sad to read the your little princess is struggling. My heart hurts for you. I will continue to pray for comfort and peace in the days ahead. I pray that she has a peaceful transition to becoming the most beautiful angel.
With many prayers and hugs for you all,

  4. Hi, I don't know you, but my name is Angela and I went to high school with Kristin. I pray that you are able to find strength. You already possess much more than I could ever hope to, and I pray for you, both of your daughters, and your loved ones at this time. I'll be thinking about you and your little angel. God Bless!!!! :-)

  7. I hate to even try to post words for fear that they will not bring any comfort. When my mom was dying at our home, our oldest children were only 5 and 7. We told them that Nana had one angel wing already, and that all the angels and Jesus were going to come very soon to gift her with her other wing so she could fly home to Heaven. The beauty of children is that they were so excited about the idea of the angels and Jesus being among us. I pray that you feel all of the angels, and our Lord Jesus as he gifts Briana with her second wing. Thank God for the gift of everlasting life in Heaven, for if not for that, how would we mothers go on? I am so sorry for your incredible pain, and am praying for you all. Lisa

  8. Big hugs to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I shared Brianna's story with my aunt this afternoon. We lost our Jenna to Trisomy 18 before she was born, and I can't imagine if I had had to see her in pain. I hope you can find peace in the days to come.

  9. Brenda,

I am so sorry to have even considered barging in on you at this time - I hope and pray that you can enjoy what time you have left with Brianna, that you will feel God's comfort in the midst of the pain. We will all have to travel this road and I know it is not going to be easy, but God is faithful. Praying for you, Pam Deane, (Christina's mom)

  16. I will be praying that she goes peacefully and in no pain. I'm sorry that y'all are having to go through this, no mom should have to do this. God will/is giving you the strength that you need to make it through this. Keep trusting in him and He will carry you through.

  21. I'm so incredibly sad. I know that this is something that all of t18 mommies have to face. But we are never ready. I am praying such BIG prayers for God to carry Brianna home peacefully. Oh God please don't allow her to suffer. Grant her parents and family peace. Let them feel your arms wrapped so tightly around them. Loving you and I know she will be watching over all of her t18 friends who are waiting to join her one day.
