Angel Wings

Brianna has earned her angel wings. Today at 2:55. She was not alone. I was holding our sweet baby Bri in my arms, while Jerry, Ashley and Mama Kathy were right there huddled with me. We were all loving on her.

Please understand if we do not return phone calls, texts or emails.

Memorial arrangements to be posted.

  6. I want you to know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Our hearts are heavy knowing the pain of losing a child. Like Brianna, our Molly had T18. She passed away peacefully in my arms when she was 19 months old. Thinking of your sweet little girl and sending hugs.

  7. Brenda,
I am so happy to have met you at moms night back in May, and so so so thankful to have had the opportunity to have our girls enjoy eachother in the 3 short months they had together. I wish we would have met much sooner. You are an amzingly loving mother and your family is remarkable and strong. Ashley is a beautiful young woman and is the best big sister Bri could have ever asked for. Brianna's story has touched the lives of so many people and will continue to do so. I want you and your family to know we are here for you always, you are a great friend to me. I have found strength in my own journey with my daughter because of you. I am sick with sadness over your loss but I am so happy Brianna is in heaven waiting for you to meet her there one day, where she will be healthy and in no pain. Continuing my prayers for everyone.
    With Love always,
    Kristin

  8. I am hurt beyond words that Trisomy 18 has taken your baby, too. You are so very lucky to have had the time with her that you did, but that doesn't take away from the pain of having your daughter pass away in your arms, I know. Four months ago, I was right where you are now. The only thing that gave me a tiny bit of comfort was knowing that my daughter was no longer in pain, and free from suffering. My thoughts are with you and your family as you navigate through the next few days. Remember, one day at a time.

I too am so happy that I met you at mom's spa night out. I still have Bri's card you gave me that night and carry it always. You will always be one of us and we are here for you when you are ready.
Words cannot say the pain I feel for you, Jerry and Ashley. Yes, she does have her angel wings. but she always has! You are such an amazing woman and an inspiration to us all in our journey. Please know that we are all here for you and your family. Let God and all of us be your strength at this difficult time. If there is anything we can do, we are here. What a blessing Bri has been you and your family and all that have had the pleasure to ever meet her and know her story.

  22. Brenda - Every day you amaze me with your strength and grace, your love and tenderness, your honesty and ability to let so many into your personal life. Thank you for opening your heart and sharing your beautiful family with us! I am so very sorry for your loss - our loss! Yet, I am so richly blessed by your presence and the wonderfully well lived life Brianna had. We can only take one day at a time - so for today, I pray for all of you to have rest and peace in your faith. We all know Brianna is resting in the arms of angles and has seen the glory of the Father in a place that wipes away any difficulties this world or T18 may have given her. I know you will continue to tell her story with as much love and joy as you did each time we saw you. May the Lord hold you now in the palm of His hand and may you always feel your sweet Brianna close - as mothers I can't imagine that feeling ever really goes away! What a blessing it was to have her, be loved by her and share her with the world. You all are my heroes! God bless! CEB

  37. God bless your sweet daughter. He is holding her in the palm of His hands. A dear friend of mine passed away when I was 15 and I remember my mother commenting that when somone loses a spouse, you are called a widow/er, but there are no words that could ever be formed for a parent losing a child...it's too terrible.
    Thoughts and many prayers.

  40. My heart goes out to you. My son, Noah, is with Molly and Brianna in heaven, his life shortened as well by t18. I have enjoyed seeing and hearing of your Bri's bright light here on earth. I can only think of one thing that brought me comfort in the early days. "Well done good and faithful servant." God asked for you to love and care for this precious soul. And you did so faithfully and whole-heartedly. She knew great love. That is a comfort.

I will be thinking of you and sending prayers in the days, weeks, and months to follow. It is a long, long road from here.

  50. I just came on to you site by accident.

I can't help feel so sad as well as be happy for little Bri. She is at peace and sitting at her makers feet, she will never no pain ever again.

I know it difficult but celebrate her life she was an angel sent straight from heaven for a reason. Think about how she changed your life and others lives. That's you special gift and why she was given to you.

You have no doubt been a awesome mom to her, is she had the chance to have you as her mom all over again she will do it.

Find strength in Jesus and the scripture especially psalm, he will give you comfort and peace even though your grieving.

  54. Jerry and Brenda, As of this morning I still can't stop the tears from falling, I can't think of the next step I need to take. This to say that I can't begin to imagine what or how you are coping. I know your faith is so strong but I do mourn for what you must be feeling.

I count my blessings to have been so lucky to meet you, Jerry and Brianna in person and have been lucky enough to be a friend. Ashley, I didn't get to meet you but was so looking forward to meet you when I visited at your home. Your mother told me what an incredible big sister you are to sweet Brianna. She was a gift to you and what a wonderful gift you are to her. Your mom will need you so much more now. She loves you so much and is so proud of you.
Brenda, someone commented earlier about being a faithful servant. As Brianna's mommy, God chose you and Jerry. You never questioned him, you were so faithful and did everything possible for Brianna. Your arms must ache unbelievable, but let your heart know that God is so proud of how much you loved your sweet Bri.

  57. Dear Brenda, Jerry and Ashley...I was so heartbroken this morning when I was up early feeding Rhyder and read your blog. I'm so sorry for the great loss of Brianna to you and to the world. I wish the world would just stop doing everything and notice a sweet angel has left our presence. Brianna and her story meant sooo much to me when I was pregnant with Rhyder. She gave me hope to believe in the possibilities of the impossible. She gave me strength for Rhdyer and I know he is here today because of the impact she made on my life and my heart. So, thank you for sharing her with the world. I will miss her and praying for comfort for you all. Know we love you from Houston. ~ Michelle & Dave...Caeden, Dash and Rhyder
