Standing Tall

Look at me...standing big and tall. Last week Brianna's PT, Ms. Bea, said she thought Bri was ready for a "stander" and after explaining it to me, I could hardly wait for today to come. So....here she is, loving it. No fussing, no whining, actually smiling and playing with her piano from her favorite aunt (Aunt Sonya!). The reason for the stander is for Bri to put weight on her bones in order to make them stronger. Next step will be a walker. Can you believe how big she is getting?

  1. That is awesome!!! My friend's little girl has cp. She's 4 and just within the last 6 mos was walking unassisted. Its amazing what those little girls can do with some determination :)

  2. Oh how I love these blogs so we can share what equipment or information is out there. I love this stander. Annabel's is huge and looks like way more trouble. Can you tell me the brand or model of the one Bri is in. I might add she is pretty matchy in those sweet shoes. Also the piano looks so cute. Can you also tell me the brand of that? I wonder if I could ask anymore questions??? She will probably be running next time we see her. give her hugs and kisses from Annabel and myself. Can't wait for July.

  5. i agree with cathy - these blogs are great for sharing information! i too would like to know what kind of stander brianna is in. my daughter's stander is large and slightly intimidating for someone, other than me, to get her into. the one shown in the pic looks very easy to use.

and i absolutely love the pic of her in your header. it's gorgeous!

  6. thank you so much for this! that looks like a great fitting stander for Bri. and I just got that same piano for Vera! She doesn't respond much to it right now but i hope it will become her favourite as well in time. I just love Bri's lovely locks!
